Qdrant on AKS

Qdrant packaged as a Kubernetes application for AKS: the open-source vector database and similarity-search engine for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and semantic search, on your own cluster. Delivered as a CNAB/Helm-based Azure container offer: the Azure portal deploys it onto your AKS cluster with managed-identity integration. Published and maintained by Derek Coleman & Associates Inc: freshly rebuilt against current security advisories and deployable straight from the Azure Marketplace into your own subscription.

Version: Qdrant 1.18.2 (Helm chart 0.1.0)Platform: AKS (Kubernetes)Ports: cluster-internal ClusterIP service: 6333 (REST API), 6334 (gRPC); the API has NO authentication by default — keep it cluster-internal or front it with an authenticating gatewayCategory: Kubernetes Apps (AKS)

What's included

  • Qdrant packaged as a Kubernetes application (Helm chart)
  • Deploys through the Azure portal onto your own AKS cluster
  • Images pinned by digest and vulnerability-scanned before publishing
  • Runs entirely inside your cluster — your network, your governance

Quick start

  1. Open the offer in the Azure Marketplace and select Get It Now → Create.
  2. Pick your AKS cluster (managed identity enabled) or create a new one, and choose a namespace.
  3. Review + create: the portal installs the Helm-based application onto your cluster.
  4. Verify with `kubectl get pods -n <namespace>` (the <release>-0 pod becomes Ready) and connect your applications to the cluster-internal REST/gRPC endpoints (see First login below).

Common use cases

  • Vector store for RAG pipelines and semantic search
  • Recommendation and similarity features next to your AKS workloads
  • Keeping embeddings inside your own network and governance
  • Kubernetes-native scaling and upgrades

Why our images

Freshly rebuilt against the latest security advisories, no shared default credentials, Trusted Launch support, and automatic OS security updates — everything runs in your own Azure subscription under your governance.
