Oracle Cloud Marketplace — Support

Quick-start guides and support for our hardened Oracle Linux 9 images on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. Every image generates its own credentials and TLS certificate on first boot — there is no shared default password — and keeps its service closed to the network until you open it deliberately.

Launching any of our Oracle Cloud images

  1. Open the listing, choose Get App, accept the terms and launch an instance into your compartment — the images support the VM.Standard.E5.Flex and VM.Standard.E4.Flex shapes with at least 2 OCPUs and 16 GB of memory.
  2. Connect as opc with the SSH key you supplied at launch:
    ssh opc@<public-ip>
  3. First boot generates the instance's credentials and certificate, then starts the service. The product's page below names its first-boot unit, the root-only file holding the generated credential, and the one documented command that exposes the service beyond loopback.
  4. Allow the application port only from your own CIDRs in the VCN security list — the host firewall already permits it. Apply operating-system updates with sudo dnf -y update.
Billing: the software fee is pay-as-you-go per OCPU-hour and is billed by Oracle on your OCI invoice, alongside the infrastructure — see each listing's Pricing tab. Questions about our listings or an issue with an instance: email support@dcassociatesgroup.com with the listing name, your OCI region and the instance OCID. We respond within 1 business day.
